Instant Cocoa

1 large 32 oz box Nestle Quick
1 box powdered sugar
8 quarts powdered milk
16 oz jar cremora

Add all together and shake until well blended.
Use 1/3 cup of this mix to 1 cup hot water for an instant drink.

What would my Granny say or do?

We all have wondered and said from time to time, what did my Granny say or do when faced with hard times.

We all have wished that we would have listened, when she gave advice of "What she did" way back when.

In Granny's way there is more to just mixing bread. Like, "You know, when it is right just by the feel or just by the way it looks," or a handful of this and a glob of that. They could prepare a banquet fit for a king, using left-overs in the frig.

How often do we want to talk to our Granny's again and ask her what we should do, then listen to her soft comforting voice telling us that "It will be ok DEARY". I'll show you how!!

I still can hear my Granny telling me things like:

Many hands make lite work.
A stitch in time saves nine.
Kill your enemies with kindness.
A thing done when first thought of needs no further attention.
Use it up, Wear it out, Make it do, or do with out.
What goes around comes around.
There is children all around the world that are starving.
What you sow, is what you reap.
Birds of a feather flock together.

My granny's have a special place in my heart. Each have taught me things that I use in my life today. Being thrifty, canning, making something wonderful out of something old, and many, many more things. I hope that I can be as helpful to my daughters and grandaughters as they were to me. I hope that my little ways and sayings will help each one when times get hard. This is for them.
