This cake is made with tomato juice and no eggs.
3/4 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1 cup tomato juice
3/4 cup water
1 tsp soda
3 cup flour
3/4 tsp salt
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp Cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp cloves
Mix altogether Bake in a slow oven at 350 for about 35 min. until done. Bake in a 9x13 pan.
